This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.
1.Who owns what
The text of profiles written by our team, the selection and arrangement of information, and the TrackFame name, logo and design are © TrackFame. Facts themselves — dates, names, awards — are not owned by anyone and you are free to use them.
Comments and member profiles belong to the members who wrote them. Photos belong to their creators or rights holders, who are credited where we know them.
2.Reusing our content
You are welcome to:
- quote short passages from profiles (a few sentences) for news, research, teaching, reviews or commentary, with a credit to “TrackFame” and a link to the profile — the Cite this page box on every profile gives you a ready-made citation;
- link to any page on TrackFame;
- use our public API within its terms (see terms of use).
Please ask us first before republishing whole profiles or large parts of the site, using our content commercially, or using our name or logo. Photos are not covered by this permission — check the rights holder’s terms.
3.Reporting copyright infringement
We respect the rights of creators and respond to notices of alleged infringement under applicable law, including India’s Copyright Act and Information Technology Act, the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the EU Digital Services Act. To report content on TrackFame that you believe infringes your rights, send a notice to support@trackfame.com or through the contact form with the subject “Copyright notice”, including:
- your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
- a description of the work you own, or a link to it;
- the exact web address(es) on TrackFame where the material appears;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We will act on valid notices promptly — usually within 36 hours for content we host — and let the member who posted the material know. Sending a knowingly false notice may make you liable for damages.
4.Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice to support@trackfame.com with your contact details, the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of your area (or of India if you live outside it). We may restore the content unless the complaining party tells us they have started legal proceedings.
5.Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of members who repeatedly post infringing material.
